Mit der Einführung des neuen Monitorings und dem Schrittweisen Ausstieg<br />
aus Netmon müssen die Router-Informationen wie Geo-Location, Hostname<br />
und Beschreibung nun direkt am Gerät hinterlegt werden. Hierzu dient das<br />
Webinterface.<br />

Ein Standort im Monitoring reicht nicht. Wichtig ist der am Gerät selbst!<br />
<br />
Wenn kein Standort eingetragen ist kann der keyXchange nicht die<br />
richtige Hood ermitteln und gibt die "default Hood" zurück. Wenn nun<br />
zwei Freifunk Geräte per Funk Meshen, aber per VPN in jeweils<br />
unterschiedlichen Hoods sind, werden die beiden Hoods verbunden. Das<br />
erhöht den Overhead und macht dadurch das Netzwerk kaputt.<br />
Passiert so etwas nicht nur einmal, kann es zu Routing-Loops kommen. Die<br />
beteiligten Subnetze/Hoods werden im Falle einer Routing-Loop gänzlich<br />
unbenutzbar. Knoten, die das Netz stören, können im keyXchange (ggf ohne<br />
Rücksprache) vom VPN ausgeschlossen werden.<br />

Das Webinterface ist über verschiedene Adressen zu erreichen:<br />

Wobei 'Link-Local' und 'MAC' jeweils mit den Daten des zu erreichenden<br />
Knotens ersetzt werden müssen. Der Zugriff geht jeweils innerhalb der<br />
selben Hood.<br />

bekommen hat. Dies erfolgt nur automatisch, wenn der PC eine direkte<br />
Verbindung (Kabel oder auf genau diesem Gerät per WLan verbunden) zu<br />
irgendeinen Knoten mit einer Firmware dieser Version (oder neuer) hat.<br />
